Heaven and Hell decides Death Cab's Fate: 20th Anniversary for Transatlanticism!

For 20 Years (Or what seems like a Millenia), Death Cab for Cutie's Transatlanticism has been surfing the indie rock wave since 1997, bringing classics such as Title and Registration or the beloved title hit Transatlanticism!

Despite continuing their success in other albums such as Plans or Narrow Stairs, for many Transatlanticism is a home, bringing comfort and nostalgia to even the band members.

Transatlanticism follows a loose set of stories following Ben Gibbard's life, specifically revolving around relationships he's had or falling in love with someone, and how it feels to have that taken away. His ability to create a narative so elegant yet so dark quickly swifted through the states. His sensitive songwriting with themes of death, despair and hope won over millions, as even Ben himself comments that “as far as the band dynamic and recording of the record, I’ve never bought into the idea that… constant conflict makes for great art”.

Death Cab for Cutie is now on Tour with the Cult Classic duo The Postal Service, consisting of Ben himself and Dntel! If you get a chance, go celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Transatlanticism!
